PayRange LLC, a prominent commerce platform for unattended retail, has completed its acquisition of KioSoft Technologies, a provider of cashless payment and IoT solutions. The deal, announced on December 1, 2025, and closed on December 3, 2025, integrates PayRange’s mobile-first payment system with KioSoft’s hardware and software, forming a unified ecosystem for vending, laundry, and car wash operators.
PayRange noted that the merger accelerates the upgrade of millions of coin-operated machines globally. By combining KioSoft’s telemetry, card readers, and kiosk features, the platform offers efficient cashless transactions, advanced machine oversight, and enhanced IoT capabilities. KioSoft’s vending machines, which are rebranded TCN models, now incorporate PayRange’s smartphone-centric tech, aiming to minimize dependence on physical currency.
This acquisition aligns with industry consolidation trends, pairing mobile payment leaders with hardware specialists for complete solutions. It could speed up cashless integration for vending, provide app-based interactions in laundry for users and managers, and improve payment flows and data in car washes. The deal follows a resolved four-year patent dispute between the firms, settled in January 2024.
Nevertheless, the integration highlights ongoing critiques of KioSoft’s offerings. Users and operators have cited notable reliability and support problems. For example, one customer recorded 15 errors in 2.5 months. KioSoft notably holds an ‘F’ rating from the Better Business Bureau, stemming from nine complaints, with eight unanswered, while PayRange is graded a ‘C’
For PayRange, this bolsters its standing in cashless, interconnected retail. Analysts predict advantages like easier enhancements, superior assistance, and increased user ease.
